ISTJ: Mitt Romney and Harry S Truman
In light of the 2012 Election, I could not help but see some similarities in the styles, temperaments and Historical patterns between Mitt Romney and Harry S Truman. Though these two men find themselves in opposite political parties separated by time and space – They are very similar not just in personality, but in their pragmatic political views as well. Harry S Truman surely would have no part in todays progressive anti-constitutional & anti-Israel “Democrat” party of today In fact, It was Harry S Truman who put a halt on the ever expanding progressive growth of government set forth by the architect of the New Deal, Franklin Roosevelt, as well as being the first world leader to recognize Israel (going against his own party)*. One only needs to read Harry Truman’s words we have represented below. Words which will ring true to any ISTJ “Father” Godtype personality.
I want to keep my feet on the ground. I don’t want any (more) experiments. The American people have been through (enough of them) and they want a rest from experiments. Harry S Truman
Likewise, Mitt Romney’s quote echoes these pragmatic and traditional themes which always respect authority (Our U.S. Constitution).
Dependency is death to initiative, risk taking and opportunity. Its time to stop this poison of government dependency and fight it like the poison that it is.
Both of these men shared the undeniable personality of the “Inspector / Pragmatist”.
Inspector Father types (ISTJs) are faithful, logical and earnest traditionalists who enjoy keeping their lives and environments well-regulated. Highly organized & sensible – They insist to play by the rules. Typically reserved and serious individuals, they earn success through their thoroughness and extraordinary dependability. Capable of shutting out distractions in order to focus their minds on practical, logical approaches to their endeavors. Pragmatist, ISTJ’s throughout history have been known to make the tough decisions that other types avoid. Realistic and responsible, The ISTJs resemblance to “The Father” Godtype is unmistakable.

Was the first world leader to recognise the State of Israel. Going against his own party and siding with the republican minority! It was one of his greatest acts that he was proud of and it is well documented here at the Harry S Truman Library and Museum
